These US Minted silver bullion coins were started in 1986 and have been minted each year to date. Production for each year has varied. The Silver Eagle was styled after the popular Walking Liberty half dollar. It is an excellent bullion coin with high demand. This government issued 1 oz bullion coin has a premium over private minted 1 oz items.

US 90% Pure Silver Coin (Pre-1965)

US 90% pure silver coins can be Half dollars, Quarters, and Dimes minted prior to 1965. The industry standard is 715 oz PURE silver for every $1000 of this type of coin. It is an excellent alternative to .999 fine silver bullion. We buy and sell this type of bullion at a certain “rate X Face”. For example: if we say would buy at 9 X Face, we mean we would pay 9 X Face Value of the Coin ($9 for every $1).
